As much a we like to think that real estate is rocket science, the soft market has deflated our egos to the point where we no longer believe this to be true.  Therefore, it shouldn’t be too hard to think of ways to not think about what to post on your real estate website.

Cat got your tongue?  Got writer’s cramp? Brain dead?  Here’s the good news:

You don’t have to use your brain to come up with ideas for your real estate blog. Let others use their brains to come up with content.  Here are a few ways to do it.

Well, you shouldn't be.  After all, no one else is in love with your website. I know your visitors certainly are not. Don't worry.  I'm sure no one is in love with my own real estate website either. Of course, if  your real estate website is actually generating business, then it might be OK for you to be in love with it.

In our fair part of the country (Minneapolis,) we are not allowed to say “Search the MLS” on our websites. Because of technical distinctions and the proprietary rights of the MLS, we have to use some other terminology like “Search for Homes” or “IDX” home search.

Directory submission is one way to get backlinks to your site, although frequently the links are of dubious quality. Google favors sites that have quality backlinks. The quality and amount of link juice you get from these directories is hit-and-miss. Here are some quality sites that have excellent page rank:
