But, there are definitely some that are best avoided because they wind up being more trouble than they are worth. Personally, I generally stick with the more popular well known plugins and don't have any problems. I especially appreciate some of the plugins out there for displaying images. Images are obviously important to many different kinds of sites, and the built in image functionality in wordpress is somewhat limited.
